Sundarkanda (Shri Ramcharitmanas)
श्री सुन्दरकाण्ड श्रीरामचरितमानस का पाॅंचवा काण्ड है।
भारतीय वैदिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार श्रीरामचरितमानस में सुन्दरकाण्ड की वही महत्ता और सम्मान है जो महाभारत में भगवदगीता की है।
सुन्दरकाण्ड में अति सुन्दर रूप में वर्णित प्रत्येक कार्य अत्यन्त पवित्र, प्रेरणादायक, उत्साहवर्धक है और जीवन के सर्वोच्च मूल्यों को प्रतिश्ठापित करने वाला है।
सुन्दरकाण्ड में श्री हनुमान जी ने सिद्ध व्यक्तित्वपूर्ण व्यवहार का आदर्ष प्रस्तुत किया है। उनके विचार, उनकी वाणी और उनका प्रत्येक कर्म प्रकृति के नियमों के अनुरूप है। विष्व के सर्वोच्च प्रषासक-मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम श्रीराम के प्रति उनकी अनन्त और अतुलनीय श्रद्धा और भक्ति श्री हनुमान जी के अनुपम गुण हैं।
श्री सुन्दरकाण्ड का पाठ अथवा श्रवण प्रेरणा, अनन्त आनन्द, परम शांतिदायक, उत्साह एवं ज्ञानवर्धक, भक्ति की तरंगों में ओत-प्रोत कर देने वाला तथा मोक्ष प्रदायक है।
महान कवि श्री गोस्वामी तुलसीदास जी ने लिखा है कि जो भी सुन्दरकाण्ड का पाठ अथवा श्रवण करते हैं वे जीवन के चतुर्विध फल-धर्म, अर्थ, काम और मोक्ष की प्राप्ति करते हैं।
इस सीडी में सुन्दरकाण्ड के पाठ में प्रसंगों और भावों के अनुसार गंधर्ववेद की विभिन्न रागों-असावरी, देस, कलावती और सोहनी में तथा पारम्परिक धुनों में रामायण को रचनाबद्ध करके गायन किया गया है।

Every action that is performed and beautifully described in the Sundarkanda is highly auspicious, inspiring, elevating, and promotes supreme values in life.
In the Sundarkanda, Shri Hanuman displays the perfect behavior of a Sidha. His every thought, word and action is in complete accord with Natural Law. This is brilliantly demonstrated by his unmatched devotion (bhakti) and service towards Lord Ram, who personifies total Natural Law, the supreme administrator of the universe.
Reciting or listening to the Shri Sundarkanda confers inspiration, motivation, intelligence, creativity, righteousness, infinite bliss, peace, waves of devotion and enlightenment.
The great visionary writer Shri Goswami Tulsidas states that those who listen to the Sundarkanda with reverence and devotion enjoy all glories of life: Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha.
In this recording [CD], the various sections or topics treated in the Sundarkanda are composed in different Ragas of Gandharva Veda, such as Asavari, Des, Kalawati, and Sohni, as well as in traditional melodies associated with the Ramayana. These various melodies reflect the corresponding moods or qualities expressed in the text.
