Shri Mahadev-Karuna Sagar
श्री शिव जी देवाधिदेव-महादेव-महेश हैं। श्री ब्रह्मा जी और श्री विष्णु जी सहित सभी देवता उनकी आराधना करके उनसे कृपा, करुणा और शांति की कामना करते हैं। शिव जी समस्त देवताओं में सर्वाधिक दयाशील तथा करुणामय हैं। किंचित मात्र भक्ति से ही वे अपने भक्तों को मनवांछित फल प्रदान करते हैं।
श्री शिव सहस्रनाम शिव जी के १००० गुण हैं। उनका प्रत्येक नाम चेतना के एक-एक गुण को दर्शाता है और अत्यन्त महिमाकारी हैं। सहस्रनाम का पाठ करने वाले या श्रवण करने वाले की चेतना में तथा वातावरण में महादेव के इन समस्त गुणों का जागरण होता है।
श्री शिव अष्टोत्तर शतनामावली में शिव जी के १०८ नाम हैं। इन नामों के उच्चारण के साथ शिव जी की पुष्पार्चना विल्वपत्रार्चना की जाती है। लिंगाष्टक एक सिध्द स्तोत्र है, जो जीवन से अंधकार को दूर हटाकर प्रकाश की पूर्णता का प्रखार लाता है।
फलश्रुति के अनुसार श्री शिवशंकर के सहस्रनाम और स्तोत्रों के पाठ या श्रवण से उनके भक्तों को उनकी असीम कृपा, करुणा, और स्थायी मानसिक शांति-समाधि की चेतना-ब्राह्मीय चेतना का अनुभव होता है। सोमवार शिव जी का दिन माना जाता है अतः सोमवार को शिव जी के स्तोत्र और सहस्रनाम सुनने की अनुशंसा की जाती है।
Shri Shiv Ji is known as Devadhidev-Mahadev-Mahaesh. All Devatas including Shri Brahma and Shri Vishnu worship Shiv Ji and seek blessings, compassion and lasting peace from him. Shiv Ji is the most kind and compassionate Devata amongst all Devatas. Even with simple prayer, he very kindly bestows every possible fulfillment to his devotees.
Shri Shiv Sahasranam-1000 names describe 1000 qualities of Shiv Ji. Each name of Shankar Ji refers to a quality of consciousness. Listening Sahasranam enlivens these qualities of Mahadev in the consciousness of the listener and at the same time, these qualities are charged in the environment.
Shri Shiv Ashtottar Shatnamavali has 108 names of Shiv. These names are few of the most important qualities, which may be chanted while offering flowers or bilvapatra to Shiv Ji. Lingashtaka Stotra is a Siddha Stotra of Shiv, which brings coherent light of wisdom and removes all darkness from the life.
